‘No contract, no coffee’: NYC mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani urges boycott of Starbucks amid nationwide strike

New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani on Friday called for a public boycott of Starbucks in support of striking union workers, urging New Yorkers to avoid the chain until baristas secure a fair contract.

“Starbucks workers across the country are on an Unfair Labor Practices strike… No contract, no coffee,” Mamdani said in a post on X, joining the national movement of workers demanding improved labour conditions.
