New Delhi: The Uttar Pradesh government has announced major relief for farmers by ensuring extensive arrangements for seeds and fertilisers for the Rabi season 2025–26. This year, the state has set a target of distributing 11.12 lakh quintals of subsidised seeds covering major crops such as wheat, barley, gram, peas, lentils, mustard, and linseed. Of this, 81 per cent of the required seeds are already available, and 69 per cent have been distributed. To promote pulses cultivation, the state earmarked 92,518 minikits, of which 76,258 have already reached farmers.

Under central assistance, the state received a target of 2,26,400 minikits, out of which 1,14,697 have been supplied. For oilseed crops, including mustard and rapeseed, 4.96 lakh minikits were targeted, and 4.92 lakh are availabl
