New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday hailed the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) sweeping victory in the Bihar Assembly elections as a “victory of every Bihari” who believes in development, women’s safety, and the welfare of the poor.

In a series of posts on X, Shah said the overwhelming mandate for the NDA, which won 202 out of 243 seats, reflects public endorsement of the government’s work in governance and development. The BJP secured 89 seats, while its ally JD(U) won 85.
