Dissent within the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) is growing sharper by the day following the party’s embarrassing loss in the Nuapada bypoll. The defeat has triggered a wave of frustration among leaders and grassroots workers, many of whom have taken to social media to openly express their discontent, setting off a new round of internal turmoil.

Prominent BJD leaders Elina Dash and Meera Parida have posted strong comments questioning the party’s current direction and internal decision-making processes. Adding to the escalating tension, Shreemayee Mishra has once again launched a scathing attack on the party leadership. Sharing posts of disgruntled workers, she wrote that “the flames of rebellion have started to burn fiercely within the BJD,” and questioned how many more suspensions the party plan
