BSF nabs armed smugglers in Gurdaspur, recovers 11 kg heroin in major anti-drug operation

Gurdaspur (Punjab), November 15, 2025:In a major breakthrough, the Border Security Force (BSF) has apprehended an armed smuggler and recovered a significant consignment of heroin weighing 11.08 kg in Gurdaspur.
Acting on reliable intelligence inputs regarding suspicious movement near the depth area of DBN Road, BSF personnel intercepted a man loitering near village Pakhoke Mahimara.
The suspect, a resident of Chheherta, Amritsar, was found carrying one pistol with a magazine, one live round, a mobile phone, and ₹4,210 in cash.
During interrogation, the suspect revealed information that led BSF troops to a concealed location. A thorough search resulted in the recovery of one motorcycle
