The West Midlands was reeling from the aftermath of Storm Claudia today - and the affects of the storm are continuing.

Birmingham and the Black Country was battered by heavy rain and winds yesterday (November 14).

It came after the Met Office issued a rare amber rain alert for the city while the wider West Midlands was under a yellow rain alert until 6am today.

Footage showed multiple roads submerged in water including Stratford Road in Sparkhill, Belle Vale in Halesowen and Wolverhampton Road in Oldbury.

Cars could be seen driving through the water, sending ripples across the surface.
