IFFI 2025 will open with an outdoor ceremony and a colourful cultural parade celebrating India’s traditions. It is going to be held in Panaji between 20-28th November. The festival will bring together guests and filmmakers from more than 80 countries and 270 PLUS films from India and abroad. Brazilian film The Blue Trail will start the event, while Japan will be the country of focus along with a few other nations, including Spain and Australia. The festival will honour legendary film artists – Guru Dutt, Raj Khosla, Bhanumati, Bhuwan, Ritwik and long-time contributors Rajnikanth and Balakrishna for completing 50 years in Indian Cinema.
