Karkala, Nov 15: Abhish, a student of class 8 from Christ King English Medium High School, Karkala, has brought pride to his institution by securing first place and qualifying for the state level athletics.

The event was organised under the aegis of the Department of School Education, Udupi Zilla Panchayat, and Janatha New English Medium School, Kirimanjeshwara, Byndoor.

Abhish won a gold medal in 400 meters race under 14 years of age and qualified for state level athletics to be held at Hassan.

The school management and principal have congratulated the student for his commendable accomplishments.
