PITTSBURGH —

Downtown Pittsburgh's Christmas tree was installed Saturday at its final destination for next week's lighting ceremony.

The city's 110th Christmas tree, a 40-foot Norway spruce, was cut down from Leslie Park in Lawrenceville and loaded onto a flatbed. Advertisement

After a slow, steady ride into downtown, workers carefully hoisted the tree into place outside the City-County Building on Grant Street.

The tree will be decorated from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday. Ornaments this year will include one representing each of the city's 90 neighborhoods.

The tree will be lit on Nov. 22 at 5 p.m. as part of Highmark Light Up Night festivities. It's one of the many events for the night. Click here to learn more about Light Up Night.
