SOUTHINGTON, Ohio - What was being classified as a "police incident" had closed a section of Route 534 near Southington, according to OHGO.com , using information available as of 9:20 p.m. on Friday.

According to information from the OHGO website, both directions of Route 534 between Nelson Mosier Road and Shanks Phalanx Road were closed due to a "police incident."

According to Press Secretary Steve Irwin from the Ohio Attorney General's Office, the Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) was requested by the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office to investigate an officer-involved shooting in the area.

Irwin specified that no officers are reported to have been injured in the incident.
