A shocking case of targeted violence emerged from Balisahi village in Boudh district, where a police constable was murdered, allegedly due to previous enmity. The incident came to light when villagers alerted the authorities after learning about the incident.
According to police, the murder occurred late Friday night at Balisahi, under the jurisdiction of Purunakatak Police Station. The accused, who reportedly nursed a long-standing grudge against the constable, allegedly attacked and killed him during a heated altercation.
In an attempt to hide the crime, the accused dragged the body to the backyard of the victim’s house and concealed it inside a muddy pit behind the dwelling. Police said the method used to hide the body indicates a clear attempt to destroy evidence.
