A former correctional officer previously accused of trafficking fentanyl into Mobile Metro Jail was able to plead down to a single misdemeanor and walked out of court with no jail time.
In a Nov. 3 order, Mobile County Circuit Judge Michael Youngpeter accepted Jessica Monique Odom’s guilty plea to a single count of possession of drug paraphernalia and, on the state’s motion, dismissed the remaining two counts in the indictment with prejudice, meaning they cannot be refiled.
