NEWPORT NEWS — Police on Friday announced the arrest of a man who has been charged with the “domestic” murder of a teenage woman earlier this week.
The man, 21-year-old Kanye Smith of Newport News, has been charged with second degree murder, according to the Newport News Police Department.
Police found a 19-year-old woman, later identified as Nevaeh Harris of Newport News, with a gunshot wound in the residence of a downtown apartment complex near Interstate 664 early Tuesday morning. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
