PATNA: Reports say there has been tension inside the family of RJD founder Lalu Prasad Yadav after the party suffered a major setback in the Bihar Assembly elections. Lalu’s daughter Rohini Acharya posted on X that she is quitting politics. She also hinted that she is cutting ties with her family.

“I am leaving politics and ending my relationship with the family. Sanjay Yadav and Rameez have asked me to do this. I am taking all the blame,” Rohini wrote.

Rohini, who is a doctor, had contested the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from the Saran constituency in Bihar but lost to the BJP’s Rajiv Pratap Rudy.
