Middlesbrough chairman Steve Gibson has warned Rob Edwards ‘not to even think’ about trying to sign Boro players in the January transfer window.
Sources have told Molineux News that Gibson intends to refuse any future business with Edwards’ Wolves following the 42-year-old’s decision to join the Premier League side after just five months at Boro .
It’s common for managers, when moving clubs, to revisit players they admired previously. Edwards was known to be a fan of both Dael Fry and Hayden Hackney , but after Gibson’s firm stance, any hopes the Englishman had of signing Boro’s star players appear to be over.
