NORFOLK, Conn. — An Oregon man has died after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a pole in Norfolk, according to Connecticut State Police.

Troopers were called to Route 272 (Litchfield Road) near the Bruery Road intersection just after 6 p.m. Friday.

State police determined that a 2025 Ford Escape was traveling south on Route 272 when it was driving through a left curve on the roadway. The Ford then went off the roadway and hit a pole. It had overturned and landed on the passenger side, state police said.

The driver, identified as Kevin Scott, 60, of Portland, Oregon, was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries, where he later died.
