A Zohran Mamdani-loving 23-year-old socialist just became the youngest-ever regional vice president of Tuscany this week — and she has as much baggage as NYC’s mayor-elect.
Mia Bintou Diop, of Livorno, was named to the high post on Tuesday by center-left President of Tuscany Eugenio Giani, who was elected to his second term in October, just one year after she was elected to her hometown’s city council, La Stampa reported.
“Today my generation lives between impossible rents, precarious jobs, parents we don’t want to burden but can’t manage to break away from. I am part of it too. And precisely for this reason, I want to bring it into every choice and every decision,” the Young Democrat Party member said after the shock announcement, Ultima reported.
