HATTIESBURG — Southern Miss football aims to keep its perfect Sun Belt conference record in Week 12.

The Golden Eagles (7-2, 5-0) face Texas State (3-6, 0-5) on Nov. 15 (2:30 p.m., ESPN+). Southern Miss has won five consecutive games and remains undefeated in conference play. It can boost its chances to claim the Sun Belt West with a win.

Southern Miss quarterback Braylon Braxton briefly exited last week's 27-21 win over Arkansas State with a right knee injury, but later returned and is probable for Saturday. Backup Landy Lyddy led two touchdown drives.
