BATON ROUGE — LSU football has more than one quarterback on its roster that has started multiple games in the Southeastern Conference.

Sophomore Michael Van Buren has started eight games in his young collegiate career, all of those coming during his freshman season at Mississippi State in 2024. He led the Bulldogs to one win out of those eight starts over UMass while losing all of the SEC games his started.

Van Buren transferred to LSU over the offseason and has appeared in three games in 2025, most recently coming in for starting quarterback Garrett Nussmeier at Alabama Nov. 8. The Tigers lost to the Crimson Tide 20-9.

Van Buren is expected to start against Arkansas on Saturday, Nov. 15 after Nussmeier reaggravated and an abdomen injury in practice this week. MICHAEL VAN BUREN,
