Manchester City Women secured the three points and the bragging rights as they demolished local rivals Manchester United 3-0 in the Women's Super League on Saturday.

City made a rapid start to the contest but were unable to find a breakthrough as United slowly found a foothold in the game. The deadlock was finally broken shortly after the halfway point in the opening 45 minutes, with Khadija Shaw nodding Lauren Hemp's delivery across for Rebecca Knaak to head home.
