Company representatives have weighed in with insights about an upcoming store relocation in Grand Junction, as the local Natural Grocers plans to move from its place along U.S. Highway 6 into the former Sutherlands building to the west of Mesa Mall, at 2405 Patterson Road.

Natural Grocers Director of Public Relations Katie Macarelli said the new location would open at 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 17, after a brief celebration to include a ribbon-cutting and a donation to Grand Valley Catholic Outreach.

It will come on the heels of the current store’s closure at 3 p.m. on Dec. 14. Macarelli said employees would then have a tight turnaround before welcoming shoppers at the Patterson Road location, moving in the middle of the busy holiday shopping season.
