Luis Rubiales could have faded away quietly from the spotlight.
Instead, he wrote a book about how the soccer world conspired against him after he was charged with sexual assault for kissing one of his players against her will.
Based on what happened earlier this week, one man from his own family isn’t too happy with his publication of the book.
At a presentation for his new book, Killing Rubiales , this week in Madrid, Rubiales had eggs thrown at him by a spectator in the crowd.
That spectator turned out to be his uncle.
Not only that, it was an uncle with the exact same name as him: Luis Rubiales.
“A man entered who I later saw was my uncle, who is a troubled man, and always has been,” the disgraced soccer coach told reporters following the incident.
