An OHL player got up angry after he was body-checked on Friday night.

However, there’s no excuse for what came next.

During an OHL game between the Brampton Steelheads and Oshawa Generals on Friday night, Steelheads’ Luke Dragusica got up from a body check and swung his stick at the head of Generals defenceman Brady Blaseg, causing him to fall to the ice.

The incident left Blasef bloodied and down on the ice for an extended period of time.

Not only did Dragusica swing his stick at Blaseg’s head, but he also cross-checked him once again while he was lying on the ice.

A melee ensued on the play, with Generals’ players attempting to exact revenge on their fallen teammate.

The OHL suspended Dragusica indefinitely on Saturday morning, pending a review of the incident.
