Tejashwi Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), which contested 143 seats in the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, finished with 18 wins and was leading on seven more seats on Friday, taking its tally to 25.

The Election Commission’s latest figures show the Mahagathbandhan winning 21 seats overall, including three secured by the Congress.

The Bharatiya Janata Party emerged as the single-largest party with 77 seats, while the Janata Dal (United) followed with 59. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar thanked alliance partners and said the “massive majority” demonstrated the “unity” within the coalition.
