NEW DELHI: The NIA has taken four doctors and two fertiliser sellers into custody in connection with the explosion near the Red Fort in Delhi. All four doctors are linked to Al Falah University in Faridabad.
Dr Jahnisar Alam, who completed his MBBS from Al Falah University in 2024, was detained from Uttar Dinajpur in West Bengal. He was taken to Siliguri and will be questioned by the NIA on Monday.
Former Al Falah University staff member Dr Rayees Ahmad Bhat was detained from Pathankot in Punjab. He is suspected to have been in contact with Dr Umar Nabi, identified by investigators as the suicide bomber in the Delhi blast. Dr Rayees worked at Al Falah University during 2020–2021.
