President Donald Trump’s bid Friday to soothe consumers by dropping tariffs on a wide array of groceries, including coffee, beef, bananas, and tomatoes — contradicts his repeated claims that the levies were not affecting retail prices. It shows he is on the defensive over his signature policy initiative.

Tariffs are taxes.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out. Trump just doesn’t get it.

The damage is done. It will take decades to recover from this disaster of this administration.

Wake up America and put a stop to this travesty.
