The Kelowna Rockets picked up a point on home ice Friday night but ultimately fell 5–4 in overtime to the Lethbridge Hurricanes at Prospera Place.

Lethbridge opened the scoring at the 10-minute mark of the first period when Easton Daneault tipped home his first of the season. Kelowna responded on the power play, as Tomas Poletin notched his 10th of the year by finishing a cross-crease pass from Carson Wetsch at 13:44.
The Hurricanes briefly regained the lead on Owen Berge’s fifth of the season late in the frame, but the Rockets answered quickly in the second period. Tij Iginla buried his 10th of the campaign, pouncing on a rebound created by newcomer Shane Smith to tie the game.
