OXFORD, Miss. − The curiosity surrounding Florida football 's game at Ole Miss centers not on how the Florida Gators play but the coach on the opposing sideline.
Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin has emerged as the top target to replace Billy Napier as UF's next coach. Kiffin's offensive acumen − the Rebels rank second in the SEC and fourth nationally in total offense at 489.4 yards per game −will be on display when the Gators (3-6, 2-4 SEC) play at No. 7 Ole Miss (9-1, 5-1 SEC) on Nov. 15.
"With Lane Kiffin and his play calling, it's very different from other teams and the weapons they have as players, and even the quarterback," Florida football starting safety Bryce Thornton. "But I feel like the defense, we're getting prepared and ready for the game."
