Srinagar, Nov 15: Four people died and six others sustained injuries during a collision between a dumper truck and a passenger cab on the Ring Road in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Saturday evening.

According to locals, the accident occurred at Waterwani, Budgam, on the Ring Road while a family was on its way to attend a function.

A local said that the accident occurred in the evening, and both vehicles were severely damaged.

Immediately after the incident, locals from the nearby area rushed to the spot and pressed an excavator machine into service to pull the stuck vehicle.

“The scene was horrific as bodies were lying inside the car. Some were found dead on the spot while the injured were rushed to a hospital for treatment,” Naveed, a local, told Greater Kashmir over the phone
