COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police arrested a suspect Saturday morning after she allegedly assaulted a police officer while being placed into custody.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers were dispatched at 9:53 a.m. to a family disturbance in the 5400 block of Sunset Ridge Drive.

Officers took the suspect, identified as Seantia McCray, into custody for violating a protection order. After she was taken to a police cruiser, CSPD said McCray tried to kick out the windows of the vehicle.

Officers put leg shackles on the suspect, and she allegedly kicked one of the officers. That officer only had minor injuries.

McCray was then booked into the Criminal Justice Center.
