When Gideon Lampron tells people his unique name, they rarely believe him. However, it's not his first or last name that gives them pause; it's his middle moniker.

The 21-year-old's full name is actually Gideon ESPN Lampron. It even says so on his birth certificate — despite his mother's wishes.

“My dad is a big sports fan, being from Boston, it was a huge part of his life, and he tried to name my older brother Larry Bird, but my mom hard vetoed that,” Lampron tells PEOPLE.
