The Toronto Maple Leafs will be down another body as they visit the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday night.
Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube told reporters before the contest that defenceman Brandon Carlo will miss the game with a lower-body injury and is considered day-to-day going forward.
The 28-year-old blueliner played 19:44 in Toronto’s loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday, and it is unclear when the injury may have occurred.
Defenceman Philippe Myers will draw into the Maple Leafs’ lineup against Chicago in Carlo’s place.
Carlo has recorded two assists in 18 games for Toronto this season while averaging just over 20 minutes of ice time per contest.
