David Kampf has gone from one Canadian team to another.

The Vancouver Canucks agreed to terms with the forward on a one-year, $1.1-million deal on Saturday, the team announced.

The deal comes one day after Kampf cleared waivers and had his contract terminated by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Kampf was previously waived before the season and sent to the AHL’s Toronto Marlies, where he played four games before stepping away from the team to ponder his future.

In turn, Toronto suspended him without pay on Nov. 2. The Maple Leafs were not incurring his $1.25-million buried cap charge while he was in the minors.

Kampf had another season remaining on the four-year, $9.6-million deal Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving signed him to in 2023.
