For a third straight year, UAB’s season will end in November. The Blazers’ chances of reaching a bowl were officially buried Saturday in a 53-24 blowout loss to North Texas inside Protective Stadium.
The defeat closes the book on a possible silver lining to a forgettable season for UAB (3-7, 1-5). The Blazers’ last bowl appearance came during the 2022 season, when they beat Miami-Ohio in the Bahamas Bowl under Bryant Vincent.
