(Gray News) - A research team shared its findings when it comes to a possible link between Tylenol use in pregnant women and autism.
The research team’s review was recently published in the BMJ .
According to the study, existing scientific studies found no link between taking acetaminophen during pregnancy and autism or ADHD in children.
“Existing evidence does not clearly link maternal paracetamol [acetaminophen] use during pregnancy with autism or ADHD in offspring,” the team concluded.
Researchers noted that they reviewed 40 previous studies but found those reviews to be relying on weak data or not accounting for family-related and environmental factors.
