A woman wrote in a post on Mumsnet that she feels like an "outsider" while living abroad because of how she is treated

She said locals will speak English to her and not their native language, which makes her upset

"It just feels like I'm being reminded that I'm foreign and need to get back in my box," the woman said

A woman's living situation abroad hasn't been all she wanted it to be — due to how she says she is being treated by locals.

In a post on the U.K.-based forum Mumsnet, the woman wrote that she is from the U.K. and living in another country, where she has been for "many years."
