Frank Wilson did not want to spend LSU’s next staff meeting wondering what the coaches should have done differently against Arkansas. They had worked on trick plays, and so as the offense continued to struggle Saturday afternoon, they decided to use them.
Down 22-16 in the fourth quarter, LSU built a drive on double-passes and misdirection. Three different players completed a pass, including a wide receiver.
