Boil Water Advisory issued for parts of St. Tammany Parish

ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. — Water Works District #2 has issued a boil water advisory for parts of St. Tammany Parish.

Officials say the water system is currently experiencing issues with the water supply due to a 2-inch water main break.

Affected areas: Wilkinson Street from LA Highway 36 to Bullard Street and 20047 Garland Street east to 19500 Garland Street in Covington

Residents should boil all water for at least one minute before drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, or preparing food.

"The sample results are expected to be received by Monday, November 17, 2025, at the earliest," Water Works officials said in a release.

The advisory will remain in effect until the water system confirms it’s safe.
