PITTSBURG, Kan. — The game was on John Pecarich's hands.
The Bemidji State basketball team was down by two against Southern Arkansas with two seconds remaining. Pecarich was looked to as the Beavers' man.
But he couldn't get lucky. He missed the shot, and the rebound got swallowed up by the Muleriders' Albert Wilson III, handing BSU their first loss of the season 85-83.
No team jumped out to a significant lead, with a 49-49 score by halftime. By the end, there were 12 lead changes.
Tate Olson had another strong day for Bemidji State, leading the team with 24 points and 16 rebounds to pick up a double-double. He also led the team in assists with seven.
