BEMIDJI — The Beavers will do more than just dance.

The Bemidji State women’s soccer team was awarded the No. 2 seed in the Central Region Tournament and will play against seventh-seeded Central Missouri at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21, at Chet Anderson Stadium.

Bemidji State has not lost at home this year, going 8-0-1.

“The opportunity to play at home is big for us,” BSU head coach Jim Stone said. “This was something we desired. We got to a point in the season where we were like, ‘Hey, we could be hosting if we get on a nice run here.’ Once that kind of set in, that became a goal of ours.”

The top two teams in the Central Region Tournament host the first two rounds this weekend. The tournament championship game is on Sunday, Nov. 30, with the winner advancing to the Elite Eight.
