MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (WTVD) -- No. 15 Miami rode a hot start and a stifling defense to a convincing 41-7 thrashing of NC State on Saturday.

The Wolfpack was shut out in the first half for the first time this season in a humiliating loss after coming off a bye. Their only score came on a late CJ Bailey touchdown run.

Bailey threw for just 120 yards and two interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown. The Wolfpack mustered just 23 rushing yards on 20 carries.

Carson Beck passed for 291 yards and three touchdowns, two of them to Malachi Toney.
