Tulane defeated Florida Atlantic 35-24 at Yulman Stadium on Saturday night.
The win improved Tulane's record to 8-2 on the season and kept them within a half-game of first-place Navy (8-2, 6-1) in American Conference.

They're in the driver's seat
Thanks to the win and South Florida's loss to Navy, Tulane now controls its own destiny in the American. At 8-2 and 5-1 in the AAC, the Green Wave are the favorites to play host to the AAC championship game on Dec. 5.
If Tulane wins its final two games against Temple (5-5, 3-3) and Charlotte (1-9, 0-7), the Wave will likely earn the highest College Football Playoff ranking and accompanying right to play host to the championship game.
