SALT LAKE CITY — One juvenile is in the hospital after being hit by a car while crossing the street in Tooele Friday evening.
Sgt. Josh Curtis with the Tooele Police Department said two juveniles were riding on a small toy motorcycle as they were crossing the street at 7:26 p.m.
As they crossed the street, a vehicle turned west hitting the two juveniles.
One juvenile was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other juvenile is okay and did not need to be hospitalized, according to Curtis.
The driver stayed on the scene and was cooperative with the police. There were no signs that the driver was impaired.
The incident caused the roadway to be closed for 20 minutes. It has since reopened.
