YORK, Maine — A Philadelphia woman was charged with forgery Friday after a reported fraud in progress at the Atlantic Federal Credit Union in York.
York police said in a news release that it was notified of the reported fraud at 2:27 p.m., involving Lindsay Claire Rischow, 32, who had left the bank and was believed to have walked south on Route 1.
Rischow was described as a white female wearing jeans, white sneakers, a winter hat, and a Louis Vuitton bag.
She apparently provided false identification belonging to someone else to receive a large cash withdrawal, according to police. They allege she may be involved in similar fraudulent activity a day prior in Wells.
Officers arrested Rischow at the Sherwin-Williams parking lot near the bank. They reportedly found a large amount of cash,
