Ryan Coogler has confirmed that Black Panther 3 is his next project!

The acclaimed filmmaker has had a fantastic year coming off of his original horror movie Sinners , which performed well both critically and financially, and now he’s preparing to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe .

Ryan was at the Deadline Contenders Film: Los Angeles event where he told Mike Fleming Jr. that it’s his “next movie.”

“If it was anybody but you, I would say, ‘I can neither confirm or deny,’” teased the two-time Oscar nominee. “But we’re working on it hard. … Yeah, it’s the next movie.”

The first Black Panther released in 2018 starred Chadwick Boseman in the lead role. He also played the character in several other MCU films like Captain America: Civil War and Avengers:
