LSU gets first win under Frank Wilson against Arkansas
Michael Van Buren Jr. threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Bower Sharp in the fourth quarter, lifting LSU to a 23-22 win over Arkansas on Saturday. The victory was interim coach Frank Wilson's first since taking over the program.
The Tigers (6-4, 3-4 SEC) snapped a three-game losing streak in Wilson’s second game as interim coach following Brian Kelly’s firing on Oct. 27. LSU trailed 22-16 early in the fourth before Van Buren put together a 12-play, 92-yard drive from the 8-yard line, highlighted by multiple trick looks and capped by his throw to Sharp with just under eight minutes left.
