GRAND FORKS — UND was down by 12 to UC Riverside with just over five minutes to go Saturday afternoon.

It appeared like the Fighting Hawks were en route to a second loss to the Highlanders in the last 10 days.

Greyson Uelmen had other ideas.

Uelmen scored 12 points in the final 4:34 to lead UND to a 76-74 comeback win on the road in Riverside, Calif.

With the game tied at 74, Uelmen drove the lane and scored on a layup with 6.3 seconds to go.

Riverside's Andrew Henderson missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

The Fighting Hawks outscored the Highlanders 18-4 to end the game.

Uelmen finished with 18 points to lead the Fighting Hawks. Freshman Marley Curtis had 15 points and Grand Forks native Zach Kraft, a sophomore, had 14.
