CHICAGO – Michigan freshman receiver Andrew Marsh walked up the lectern for his postgame news conference clutching the game ball tightly in his hands.

His hands were busy all game, hauling in 12 catches for 189 yards in a 24-22 victory over Northwestern on Saturday at Wrigley Field.

Trailing 22-21 with two minutes remaining, the 18 th -ranked Wolverines needed Marsh’s hands, and his feet, to keep their season afloat. With Michigan facing a third-and-10 from its own 37, quarterback Bryce Underwood rolled out to his left as the pocket collapsed and threw off-platform to Marsh near the Northwestern sideline.
