SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Siouxland Libraries brought back its Author Fair for a second year at the Downtown Library in Sioux Falls.
The fair brought in more than 20 local authors and seven panelists for a food and nutrition writing panel and a genre writing panel.
Librarian Jeri Light said collaborating with local authors not only helps them gain exposure, it helps Siouxland Libraries show their collection as well and what people can find.
“When you think about local authors, I think you automatically think about the library. So, it makes sense that our public libraries are supporting our local authors,” Light said.
Light said it’s invaluable that people can learn from the authors themselves, inspiring others to write their own stories.
