EAST LANSING — Free Press sports writer Chris Solari grades Michigan State football on a scale of A to F after the Spartans ’ 28-10 loss at home to Penn State on Saturday, Nov. 15.

Offense: C-minus

The protection continues to be the biggest problem for MSU, with quarterback Alessio Milivojevic getting sacked five more times, bringing the team’s total allowed to 35. The redshirt freshman had little time to process, and the punishment Aidan Chiles took through the first eight games is now being inflicted on Milivojevic the past two. Perhaps the bright spot was a second straight strong game from senior running back Elijah Tau-Tolliver, who, after running for 127 yards two weeks ago, showed dual-threat ability Saturday with 79 yards rushing on six carries and 73 yards receiving on eight
